YouTube Clip

I decided to create my ‘Starting out on BAPP’ YouTube clip on Windows Movie Maker.  I started by creating power point slides and saving them as JPEGs.  What I wanted to achieve was a simple, clean and clear clip, so for me this was the simplist way.  It's been some time since I have used the Microsoft Suite, so it took me longer than I expected, I also made some errors saving the document in the right place.  YouTube is definitely something I want to continue to explore and use it as a skill to help with networking.  I want to be more competent and much more creative with it in the future.  But here is my first ever video and YouTube upload:

Flickr

I found setting up the flickr account quite simple but like other people I now have quite a few email addresses.
I can see how sites like Flickr and YouTube can be really useful for personal and professional use.  There have been quite a few times recently where I have been asked if I could send a YouTube link of me performing to send to potential employers.  I have also used it to look at previous work of a choreographer who offered me work, and made my decision on what I saw on YouTube.

Getting Started!

I have finally found the time and courage to upload the first few tasks to my blog.  I have never had a blog before and I felt quite lost with starting this. The technical side of web based technologies doesn’t faze me as much as I live in a house of IT geeks who are on hand if I get in any trouble!  What I have found daunting is what to write and where to start.  So today I will start.
